Alorad, Inc. today announced the formation of three new divisions to accelerate its growth. The company will now be structured around Domain Assets, Healthcare Marketing and Publisher Development.
“Splitting the company into these three sectors will help fuel and control the substantial growth we’ve seen the past year-and-a-half,” said Michael Gleason, CEO and Co-Founder. “It will also help us focus on those areas that have been the most successful for our clients and ourselves.”
The Domain Asset division will be led by Andrew Salisbury, a seasoned entrepreneur with a combination of experience in both marketing and real estate. “It’s no mystery why Internet domains are referred to as ‘real estate,’” Salisbury said. “There are great similarities between the two. A domain or web site has to be developed much like Donald Trump develops land, buildings and casinos."
Areas of particular interest include high speed internet and other residential and business services such as satellite internet, as well as areas of healthcare such as gastric bypass. Furthermore, Alorad will work with Investors to organize the purchase of web domains, with web site sellers to optimize their site prior to sale, and with web site buyers to evaluate the potential of a specific site prior to purchase.
Jason Schiffman, MD/MBA, the company’s Chief Medical Officer, will head the Healthcare Marketing division that will specialize in the development of healthcare-related domains and online marketing for the industry. Areas of particular focus in this division have included breast reconstruction and the laparoscopic gastric band. Dr. Schiffman’s background includes research in the field of molecular biology and the use of technology in healthcare marketing and information management. According to Schiffman, “The majority of Americans now look to the Internet for medical information prior to making a healthcare decision. This is particularly true of products and procedures such as breast augmentation that patients may feel uncomfortable discussing with their primary doctor.” With a foundation in medical research, an ongoing relationship with the medical community, and proprietary Internet marketing techniques, Alorad® is positioned to anticipate healthcare industry trends and to build Internet-based infrastructures to capitalize on them.
Veteran publishing industry and content expert William Topaz will lead the Publisher Development division. Topaz has served in executive roles in such public companies as Capital Cities, Inc.; ABC, Inc.; Times-Mirror Co.; and Courier Corp. An early proponent of integrated marketing, he is experienced in building market positions; developing brand-extending products; and connecting Internet programs to other sales, marketing and operational activities. This division’s team of marketing and search engine branding specialists works on the buy-side, analyzing hundreds of web sites to determine how best to deploy budgets on any targeted publisher’s site for the maximum benefit of Alorad’s clients.
The executive team will now consist of CEO Gleason; Co-Founder and CTO Tyler Hanway; along with Salisbury, Schiffman and Topaz. They are all based out of the company’s corporate headquarters in Aliso Viejo, CA.
